About Reflexology FAQ

Reflexology is a therapeutic practice that applies precise pressure to reflex points on the feet, face, ears or hands that correspond to different parts of the body through the nervous system. The goal is to ease tension, support circulation, and shift your nervous system out of "fight or flight" into a calm, restorative state — which is why most people leave feeling deeply relaxed.

Many clients come to us for stress, poor sleep, chronic pain, plantar fasciitis, digestive sensitivities, migraines, and fertility support, as well as facial concerns like tone, rosacea, and acne. Reflexology is complementary care — it supports relaxation, circulation, and overall wellbeing rather than diagnosing or curing conditions, and it works well alongside your medical care.

No, reflexology should feel good. Some reflex points can feel tender, which simply tells your practitioner where your body is holding tension, and pressure is always adjusted to your comfort. Most clients describe the experience as relaxing and grounding. First-timers often say they "float out" of the clinic afterward.

All three work the body through reflex maps, just in different locations. Foot reflexology is the traditional, deeply relaxing full-body approach. Dien Chan facial reflexology, a Vietnamese method, works points on the face and doubles as natural skincare. Ear reflexology and ear seeding use auricular points and let you continue the benefit at home between visits.

Massage works muscles and soft tissue across the body to release physical tension. Reflexology applies targeted pressure to reflex points — mainly on the feet, face, and ears — to influence the whole body and calm the nervous system. They complement each other beautifully. Note that reflexology is its own therapy; we are not registered massage therapists (RMTs) our team are registered reflexology therapists.

It depends on your goal. For general stress relief and maintenance, many clients visit every two to four weeks. If you're working through something specific like chronic pain or a Therapeutic 90 concern, a closer series of sessions early on tends to help most, then you can ease into a comfortable rhythm. We'll suggest a plan that fits you.

It can be. Our practitioners are certified Registered Canadian Reflexology Therapists (RCRT) and members of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada (NHPC). If your benefits plan specifically lists "Reflexology," your treatment is eligible for coverage. We provide a detailed receipt with accreditation details. Please note we don't offer direct billing, and reflexology isn't claimable under massage therapy.
